As i'm sure you know, England went smoke free
on 1st July 2007. It is now against the law to
smoke, or to let others smoke in virtually all
enclosed public places in the country.
If anyone smokes in enclosed parts of your
premises or inside your company vehicles, the law
may effect your business, and you will probably
need to make certain measures to comply.
It is your responsibility to ensure that smoking
doesn't happen in any part of your premises,
including smoking rooms which are no longer allowed.
You are required to display a NO SMOKING sign
at each entrance to smoke free premises.
Many vehicles used for work purposes will also be
covered by smoke free legislation, and will also
need to have NO SMOKING signs.
